Addressing the House, Mr Sanghavi spoke of Mr Milind Sakhardande as a fine lawyer who was always thoroughly prepared in all his matters and argued with great conviction. Mr Sakhardande was of an unfailingly cheerful disposition. It was unfortunate that a strong career had been cut short unexpectedly.
Mr Sakhardande came from a family of lawyers. Mr Sanghavi mentioned his acquaintance with Mr Sakhardande’s father and that Mr Sakhardande’s brother, Sudhir, his sister, Shubha and his son, Nikhil were all in active practice.
On behalf of the Association, Mr Sanghavi expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
RESOLUTION
Mr Sanghavi then proposed the following resolution, which was duly seconded and passed unanimously.
“This House mourns the sad demise of Mr M M Sakhardande and expresses its heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
The House observed a two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the deceased.
