The members of the Bombay Bar Association have shown that they are all-rounders in the real sense of the term. On 30thJanuary, 2015, a team comprising of senior and junior members of the Bombay Bar Association were invited to play a 20-20 Cricket Night Match at the Police Gymkhana Ground, Marine Lines by the Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (MCHI). This cricket fixture has now become an annual affair, a part of the tournament hosted by MCHI. Our team comprised of Mr. Janak Dwarkadas (Captain), Mr. Pravin Samdani, Mr. RajuPatil, Mr. Mukesh Vashi, Mr. Vikram Nankani, Mr. AshishAhuja, Mr. Pradeep Bakhru, Mr. Pranay Goyal, Mr. Rashmin Khandekar, Mr. Gauraj Shah and Mr. Amrut Joshi. Our team successfully chased down the runs posted by the MCHI team who had won the toss and elected to bat first.
The junior members of the Bar have also formed a cricket team which trains regularly and plays matches against other Bar Associations and law firms in the city. This season, this team has won all games, which it has played.
