WORKSHOP ON TOWN PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT CONTROL REGULATIONS

Considering the relevance, complexity and importance of the laws relating to town planning, a workshop on “Town Planning & Development Control Regulations” was organised.

Hon’ble Justice Mr.S.C.Dharmadhikari, Mr.Janak Dwarkadas (Senior Advocate) and Mr.E.P.Bharucha (Senior Advocate) addressed the participant members on topics such as:

Development Plan, procedure to be followed in preparation and sanction of development plan, control of development and use of land, reservations in development plan, town planning schemes, development control regulations, FSI/TDR, CRZ vis-a-vis FSI , fungible FSI, open space , important DCR 33(7) i.e. cessed and dilapidated buildings, 33 (10) i. e. slums etc , development / planning permissions, revocation of planning permission, lapsing or reservations, unauthorised constructions, regularization etc.

The address by faculty was followed by a question-answer session when participants posed thought provoking questions which were answered and queries clarified by the faculty members.
